Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 454.67 points up at 72186.09 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Amba Enterprises(down 20.00 per cent), Laffans Petro(down 11.84 per cent), Best Agrolife(down 10.03 per cent), Sayaji Industries(down 9.69 per cent) and Diggi Multitrade(down 8.37 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 157.71 points up at 21929.4.

On the BSE, Best Agrolife, Ashnisha Industries, Stampede Cap(DVR), Butterfly Gandhi and Tatva Chintan Pharm hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Nirav Comm, Shree Rama News, Ajmera Realty, Bhagyanagar Ind and Arvind SmartSpaces touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
