Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 205.21 points up at 66795.14 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Manaksia Aluminium(down 13.10 per cent), Ganges Securities(down 10.26 per cent), Indsil Hydro(down 10.04 per cent), Link Pharma(down 10.00 per cent) and GCM Comm(down 9.80 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 37.8 points up at 19749.25.

On the BSE, Goenka Bus. & Fin., Jindal Capital, Diana Tea Co, Uravi T and Wedge and Standard Shoe Sole hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Anmol India, We Win, Mishtann Foods, Softsol India and Bansal Roofing Prod. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
