Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 273.67 points up at 65617.84 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Dhyaani Tile and Mar(down 19.98 per cent), MAC Hotels(down 19.77 per cent), Safa Systems & Tech(down 13.27 per cent), Haria Exports(down 12.60 per cent) and Econo Trade(I)(down 10.28 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 83.5 points up at 19439.4.

On the BSE, Bizotic Commercial, Simplex Infra, Zenlabs Ethica, Vanta Bioscience and Golkonda Aluminium hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sunshield Chem, Focus Business Sol, Suyog Gurbaxani Funi, Premier Exp and BCPL Railway Infra touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
