Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 418.45 points up at 63143.16 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Ganga Pharmaceutical(down 20.00 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa(down 17.27 per cent), PMC Fincorp (down 14.43 per cent), QGO Finance(down 11.80 per cent) and Bridge Sec(down 11.11 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 114.65 points up at 18716.15.

On the BSE, SSPN Finance L, Power & Instrument, Chandni Machines, NIIT and GHCL Textiles hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Comrade Appliances Ltd., Signet Ind, RDB Realty, Riba Textiles and Nagreeka Export touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
