Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 18.11 points up at 61981.79 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Quality RO Industrie(down 20.00 per cent), Spicejet(down 13.93 per cent), CG-VAK Software(down 13.75 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 12.49 per cent) and Octaware Technologie(down 12.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 33.6 points up at 18348.0.

On the BSE, Spicejet, Octaware Technologie, Chandni Machines, ARC Finance and Jet Airways hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Indo Tech Trans, Refex Industries, Indian Toners, Duroply lndustries and Chandra Bhagat Pharm touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
