Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 555.95 points up at 61749.25 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, SBL Infratech Ltd.(down 13.53 per cent), Reliable Vent(down 12.22 per cent), Rajasthan Gases(down 11.70 per cent), Innovative Ideals(down 11.62 per cent) and V B Industries(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 165.95 points up at 18255.8.

On the BSE, Earum Pharmaceutical, Punjab Chemical, BEML Land Assets, NCC Blue Water Pdts and Galactico Corporate hit their fresh 52-week lows, while RS Software, Universal Office, Ceejay Finance, U H Zaveri and Kamdhenu Ventures Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
