Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 31 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 223.6 points up at 61133.88 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Supershakti Metaliks(down 13.04 per cent), Caprihans India(down 11.54 per cent), Royal India Corp(down 10.73 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 9.93 per cent) and Scintilla Commercial(down 9.50 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 31 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 68.5 points up at 18191.0.

On the BSE, Nirlon Ltd, Darshan Orna, Dhruv Wellness, Sintex Inds. and Kavveri Telecom hit their fresh 52-week lows, while MPDL, Sandesh Ltd, Indokem Ltd, Transpact Enterprise and FACT touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
