Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 762.1 points up at 62272.68 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Mitshi India (down 15.84 per cent), Market Creators(down 10.19 per cent), Dhyaani Tile and Marblez Ltd.(down 9.90 per cent), VEER Energy(down 9.89 per cent) and JBF Industries(down 9.88 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks closed in the green, while 7 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 216.85 points up at 18484.1.

On the BSE, JBF Industries, Jayatma Enterprises, FutureLifestyleFash, Amit Intnl and Jump Networks hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Deccan GoldMine, Bikaji Foods International Ltd., Humming Bird Educat, DJ Mediaprint & Logi and Billwin Industries L touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
