Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 701.67 points up at 57521.06 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Karda Const(down 19.91 per cent), Network18 Media(down 19.70 per cent), TV18 Broadcast(down 17.70 per cent), Manomay Tex India(down 13.80 per cent) and GKP Printing & Pack(down 12.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 42 stocks closed in the green, while 8 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 206.65 points up at 17245.05.
On the BSE, Karda Const, Zee Learn, Future Consumer, FutureLifestyleFash and Navoday Enterprises Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Manaksia Ltd, Nagpur Power, Active Clothing Co, Sanco Trans and Rita Finance and Leasing Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
