Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 817.06 points up at 55464.39 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, S R G Sec. Fin.(down 18.28 per cent), Sprayking Agro Equip(down 13.31 per cent), Garware Synth(down 9.94 per cent), Haryana Capfin(down 9.69 per cent) and Aryaman Capital(down 8.82 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 249.55 points up at 16594.9.

On the BSE, RCL Retail Ltd., SVP Global, U P Hotels Ltd., Indo-Global Enterpri and Vaghani Techno hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Money Masters, Birla Cable, CL Educate, Chothani Foods and Mirza Intnl touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
