Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 85.26 points up at 61235.30 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Captain Technocast(down 17.73 per cent), Shahlon Silk Indust(down 12.56 per cent), Shree Steel Wire(down 10.90 per cent), Alphalogic Techsys(down 10.00 per cent) and Vaswani Ind(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 45.45 points up at 18257.8.
On the BSE, Suvidha Infra, PayTM, Mena Mani Industries and Asahi Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Coastal Corp, Superhouse Ltd, Alacrity Sec, Choice Intnl and Ram Ratna Wire touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
