Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 384.72 points up at 57315.28 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Ontic Finserve(down 9.04 per cent), Super Tex Ind(down 8.40 per cent), KG Denim(down 7.47 per cent), TCI Express(down 6.95 per cent) and Manaksia Aluminium(down 6.24 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 117.15 points up at 17072.6.

On the BSE, Janus Corporation, Aroma Enterpris, Vikas Multicorp(PP), Omnipotent Industries Ltd. and MPIL Corp hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Medplus Health Services Ltd., PTL Enterprises, Accel Transmatic, Ceinsys Tech and Shri Krishna touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
