NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 776.5 points up at 58461.29 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Gensol Engg(down 17.92 per cent), Super Fine Knitters(down 10.00 per cent), Tanvi Foods(India)(down 9.94 per cent), Raghuvansh Agrofarm(down 9.80 per cent) and Vaksons Automobiles(down 8.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 47 stocks closed in the green, while 3 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 234.75 points up at 17401.65.
On the BSE, Super Fine Knitters, Starlit Power Sys., Rajasthan Petro, Stephanotis Finance and Walchandngr Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows, while MBL Infra, Navigant Corporate A, Avonmore Capital &, CG-VAK Software and PG Electroplast touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
