Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 568.9 points up at 61305.95 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, UTL Industries (down 20.00 per cent), Khemani Dist(down 18.08 per cent), Triveni Glass(down 17.20 per cent), Polymech Mac(down 10.65 per cent) and Charms Ind(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 176.8 points up at 18338.55.

On the BSE, Khemani Dist, JLAInfraville&Shop, S R G Sec. Fin., Paos Industries and Arman Holdings hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Borosil L, Artefact Proj, Permanent Magnet, KDDL Ltd and Pacific Ind touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
