Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks closed in the green, while 32 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 10.31 points up at 74612.43 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, KEI Industries(down 21.03 per cent), Medico Remedies(down 19.99 per cent), Cosyn (down 19.98 per cent), R R Kabel(down 19.91 per cent) and Swelect Energy(down 19.20 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks closed in the green, while 32 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 2.5 points down at 22545.05.

On the BSE, Cosyn, R R Kabel, Swelect Energy, Neil Industries and Hindustan Org hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Dhanlaxmi Cotex, Hira Automobiles, Aris Intnl, RDB Real Estate Cons and Taparia Tools touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
