Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 318.74 points up at 77042.82 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Trio Mercantile(down 12.00 per cent), City Crops Agro(down 9.37 per cent), Sikozy Realtors(down 9.30 per cent), KK Shah Hospitals(down 9.28 per cent) and Unishire Urban Infra(down 9.18 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 98.6 points at 23311.8.

On the BSE, Mitshi India, Alliance Int., Noida Toll Bridge Co, Quadrant Tele and Danlaw Technologies hit their fresh 52-week lows, while G G Automotive Gears, Mazda Ltd, Sri Chakra Cement, DJS Stock & Shares Ltd. and Benares Hotels touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
