Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks closed in the green, while 9 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 809.53 points up at 81765.86 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Ganga Pharmaceutical(down 11.11 per cent), Navoday Enterprises(down 10.46 per cent), Ashiana Ispat(down 10.41 per cent), KK Shah Hospitals(down 10.02 per cent) and IO System Ltd(down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks closed in the green, while 9 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 240.96 points at 24708.4.

On the BSE, Kreon Financial, Dhanvarsha Finvest, Grandma Trading, Sanwaria Consumer and Axita Cotton hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Ajcon Global, Ashok Alco-Chem, Regent Enterprises, Manba Finance and Raghuvir Synthetics touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
