Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 666.25 points up at 85836.12 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, SRU Steels(down 18.31 per cent), Octavius Plantations(down 11.25 per cent), Joonktollee Tea(down 11.08 per cent), Lancer Container Lines(down 10.18 per cent) and Sarthak Ind(down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 44 stocks closed in the green, while 6 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 211.9 points up at 26216.05.
On the BSE, Lancer Container Lines, MSR India, Rossell India, Tirupati Tyres and Tranway Technologies hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Mansi Finance, Zee Media Corp, Mukta Arts, Vedavaag Sys and Sree Rayalaseema touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
