Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 126.21 points up at 81867.55 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Udaipur Cement Work(down 13.45 per cent), Timex Group(down 11.94 per cent), NRB Industrial(down 10.99 per cent), SRU Steels(down 10.80 per cent) and Sonata Software(down 10.30 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 27 stocks closed in the green, while 23 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 59.75 points up at 25010.9.
On the BSE, Arman Financial, SecUR Credentials, Garodia Chem, Quest Softech and Vegetable Products hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Selan Expl Tech, Starline Precious, Brijlaxmi Leasing & Finance, Haria Exports and Shanti Educational touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
