Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 626.91 points up at 81343.46 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Titaanium Ten Enterp(down 15.94 per cent), Sah Polymers(down 10.73 per cent), Bharat Bijlee(down 10.00 per cent), Transpact Enterprise(down 10.00 per cent) and Standard Surfact(down 9.91 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 187.85 points up at 24800.85.

On the BSE, Sah Polymers, Savani Fin(PP), Sawaca Business, Akme Fintrade(India and Katare Spinning hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Filmcity Media Ltd., MTNL, Just Dial, Krebs Biochem and Contil India touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
