Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks closed in the green, while 10 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 676.69 points up at 73663.72 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Varyaa Creations(down 20.00 per cent), Nutech Global(down 15.54 per cent), Sanghvi Movers(down 11.70 per cent), ETT Ltd(down 9.99 per cent) and LGB Forge(down 9.55 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks closed in the green, while 10 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 203.3 points up at 22403.85.

On the BSE, Nutech Global, Brightcom Group, Spectrum Foods(PP), Sharanam Infra and KMG Milk Food hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Bombay Cycle, Honeywell, Stovec Ind, Mohite Industries and HAL touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
