Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 335.39 points up at 73097.28 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Davangere Sugar(down 19.96 per cent), AVI Products India (down 16.04 per cent), Achyut Healthcare(down 13.66 per cent), Gopal Snacks Ltd.(down 10.21 per cent) and Siel Financial(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 148.96 points up at 22146.65.

On the BSE, Thinkink Picturez, Cressanda Sol, Forbes Company, Stampede Cap(DVR)and Yarn Syndicate(PP)hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Virat Leasing L, Dugar Housing Dev., Gogia Capital, Cigniti Tech and ABB Power touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
