Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 535.15 points up at 73158.24 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Gabriel Pet Straps(down 14.29 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 10.00 per cent), Kesar Enterpr(down 9.97 per cent), Tilak Ventures (down 9.96 per cent) and Decorous Investme(down 9.87 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 162.41 points up at 22217.45.

On the BSE, Vibhor Steel Tubes, Manipal Finance, Moongipa Securities, Polyplex Corp. and Hinduja Global hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Chemfab Alkalis, Khaitan(India), VeerhealthCare, Megasoft and Walchand People touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
