Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 489.57 points up at 64080.9 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Syrma SGS Technology(down 12.29 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 11.18 per cent), Datamatics Glob(down 10.95 per cent), Danube Industries L(down 9.96 per cent) and CLIO Infotech(down 9.92 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks closed in the green, while 9 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 144.1 points up at 19133.25.

On the BSE, Taaza International, IndiaNivesh Ltd, Thakral Service, Orient Bell and 7NR Retail Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while GlobalSpace Techno, Orient Beverage, PTC Financial, JP Associates and LT Foods touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
