Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday's session

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 339.6 points up at 65785.64 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, JBM Auto(down 12.96 per cent), Vedant Asset(down 10.00 per cent), Arcee Ind(down 9.89 per cent), Earum Pharmaceutical(down 9.88 per cent) and Chambal Brewer(down 9.35 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 98.8 points up at 19497.3.

On the BSE, Ind-Agiv Comm, MRC Exim, Bizotic Commercial, Flora Corporation and Kanungo Financiers hit their fresh 52-week lows, while AGC Networks, Ceat, Summit Sec, Bella Casa Fashion and Deccan GoldMine touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
