Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 415.49 points up at 60224.46 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Venlon Enterpr(down 10.71 per cent), Hinduja Global(down 10.26 per cent), Ashish Poly(down 10.00 per cent), SBL Infratech Ltd.(down 9.99 per cent) and Vineet Laboratories Ltd.(down 9.81 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 117.1 points up at 17711.45.

On the BSE, Ashish Poly, Vineet Laboratories Ltd., Sharpline Broadcast Ltd., Adeshwar Meditex Ltd. and Naturo Indiabull Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Lohia Sec, Sprayking Agro Equip, Mahanagar Gas, WPIL Ltd and Ingersoll-Rand touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
