Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 85.88 points up at 61308.91 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Vivid Mercantile(down 9.90 per cent), Narbada Gems(down 9.28 per cent), Bhansali Engg(down 9.19 per cent), Sprayking Agro Equip(down 8.74 per cent) and Eldeco Housing(down 7.94 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 52.35 points up at 18308.1.

On the BSE, Kkrrafton Developers, Mipco Seamless, Dilip Buildcon, Esteem Bio Org and IGL hit their fresh 52-week lows, while King Infra Ventures, Ganga Pharmaceutical, Salona Cotspin, Precision Wires and Khaitan Chem touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
