Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

In the Nifty pack, 44 stocks closed in the green, while 6 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 929.4 points up at 59183.22 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Diggi Multitrade(down 12.42 per cent), Surya Roshni(down 11.17 per cent), HKG Ltd(down 10.96 per cent), Vishwaraj Sugar(down 10.52 per cent) and DMR Hydroengineering & Infrastructure Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

The index closed 271.65 points up at 17625.7.

On the BSE, RCL Retail Ltd., Kkrrafton Developers, Janus Corporation, Bharat Textiles and Brandbucket Media & Technology Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Ansal Buildwell, Arihant Capital, Vama Industries, T T Ltd and Delton Cables touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
