Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 533.74 points up at 59299.32 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, TCI Finance(down 10.68 per cent), Paragon Finance(down 10.13 per cent), Gautam Exim(down 9.98 per cent), Supreme Holdings & (down 9.84 per cent) and Vanta Bioscience(down 9.04 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 159.2 points up at 17691.25.

On the BSE, Milgrey Finance, SBL Infratech Ltd., Shanti Educational, Purple Entertainment and Jiya Eco Products Lt hit their fresh 52-week lows, while PlatinumOne Business Services Ltd., Bella Casa Fashion, Alkali Metals, Patel Eng and RTS Power touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
