Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 341.04 points up at 74169.95 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Scanpoint Geo(down 16.80 per cent), Reetech Intnl. Cargo (down 15.93 per cent), Benchmark Computer Solutions(down 15.22 per cent), Veerkrupa Jewellers(down 14.78 per cent) and AVI Products India (down 14.15 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 111.55 points up at 22508.75.

On the BSE, Scanpoint Geo, Goldstone Tech, Capital Trade Links, Inventurus Knowledge and Asian Oilfield hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Technojet Cons, NACL Industries, Jainco Projects, Kamat Hotels and Avanti Feeds touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
