Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday's session

In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 17 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 443.46 points up at 79476.19 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Oriental Carbon(down 74.13 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 18.22 per cent), Achyut Healthcare(down 11.81 per cent), Jetmall Spices(down 11.36 per cent) and Trident Texofab(down 10.13 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 17 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 131.36 points up at 24141.95.

On the BSE, Oriental Carbon, Trident Texofab, Vitesse Agro, Taaza International and ST Corporation hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Atul Auto, Roto Pumps, Wockhardt, Lakshmi Auto and Rane Holdings touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
