Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 104.92 points up at 59793.14 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Simplex Mills(down 15.68 per cent), Vision Corp(down 11.16 per cent), Sagar Diamonds(down 10.59 per cent), Vaswani Ind(down 10.35 per cent) and Chothani Foods(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 34.6 points up at 17833.35.
On the BSE, Maha Corp Ltd(PP), Nanavati Ventures Ltd., Rhetan TMT Ltd., A F Enterprises and Alexander Stamps hit their fresh 52-week lows, while BSL Ltd, Vinyl Chemicals, Gretex Corporate Services Ltd., RMC Switchgears and Arfin India touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
