Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks closed in the green, while 9 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 412.23 points up at 59447.18 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, SDC Techmedia(down 19.94 per cent), Universal Autofoundr(down 9.98 per cent), Svaraj Trading(down 9.98 per cent), ICL Organic Dairy(down 9.91 per cent) and Regent Enterprises (down 9.66 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks closed in the green, while 9 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 144.8 points up at 17784.35.

On the BSE, Aryavan Enterprise, Prabhat Tech, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Shree Worstex and Manraj Housing hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Galactico Corporate, Sujala Trading, Piccadily Agro, Wendt India and Maris Spinners touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
