Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

In the Nifty pack, 39 stocks closed in the green, while 11 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 708.18 points up at 59276.69 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Hind Oil Expl(down 10.58 per cent), Citadel Realty(down 8.52 per cent), Dhanvarsha Finvest(down 8.45 per cent), SMIFS Capital(down 6.96 per cent) and Morarka Finance(down 5.59 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 39 stocks closed in the green, while 11 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 205.7 points up at 17670.45.

On the BSE, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Evoq Remedies Ltd., Supreme Infra, Libord Sec and Shree Ganesh Bio-Tec hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shree Krishna Infras, Vidhi Specialty Food, Avantel, Ritco Logistics and Jagsonpal Pharm touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
