Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

Nifty continues to climb a wall of worry as it looks to be in the final leg of its rally before heading for a correction.
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1328.61 points up at 55858.52 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, MRP Agro Ltd.(down 10.96 per cent), Beekay Niryat(down 9.96 per cent), Pecos Hotels & Pubs(down 9.37 per cent), Optimus Finance (down 8.02 per cent) and Diggi Multitrade(down 5.75 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 47 stocks closed in the green, while 3 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 410.45 points up at 16658.4.

On the BSE, Ridhi Synthetic, Anisha Impex, Varun Mercantile, Narayani Steels and Union Quality hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Jyoti Resins, Orient Bell, Active Clothing Co, Decillion Finance and Tejnaksh Healthcare touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
