Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 142.81 points up at 59744.65 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Hinduja Global(down 20.00 per cent), Naysaa Securities(down 19.85 per cent), Zee Learn(down 10.46 per cent), G M Breweries(down 10.41 per cent) and Modulex Construction(down 9.48 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 66.8 points up at 17812.7.

On the BSE, Garodia Chem, Janus Corporation, Suvidha Infra, PayTM and Lumax Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows, while CWD Ltd., Vardhman Hold, AYM Syntex, Medi-Caps Ltd and Sat Industries touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
