Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1310.11 points up at 75157.26 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Gopal Iron & Steels Co(down 12.26 per cent), Shristi Infra(down 10.70 per cent), Raj Television(down 10.00 per cent), Shine Fashions(down 10.00 per cent) and GCM Comm(down 9.70 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 47 stocks closed in the green, while 3 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 429.4 points up at 22828.55.

On the BSE, Gensol Engg, Prashant India, Siel Financial, Boston Bio Systems Ltd. and Venlon Enterpr hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Keynote Financial, Cura Tech, Dhanashree Electro, Apis India and TECIL Chemicals touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
