Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks closed in the green, while 7 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 740.76 points up at 77500.57 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Kunststoffe Ind(down 13.60 per cent), De Nora India(down 12.66 per cent), JITF Infralogistics(down 12.62 per cent), Neopolitan Pizza and(down 12.19 per cent) and Vakrangee (down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks closed in the green, while 7 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 258.91 points up at 23508.4.

On the BSE, De Nora India, Whirlpool India, Stallion India Fluor, Mercury Trade Links and Sampre Nutrition hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Tanfac Ind, Blue Jet Healthcare, UPL, Navin Fluorine and MPS Ltd touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
