Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 75.71 points up at 73961.31 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, ObjectOne Information Systems(down 15.43 per cent), Silicon Rental Solutions(down 15.15 per cent), Bengal Tea & Fabrics(down 14.31 per cent), Dishman Carbogen(down 13.50 per cent) and Suditi Ind(down 13.39 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 42.05 points up at 22530.7.

On the BSE, Suditi Ind, Sadhana Nitro, Deep Polymers, Revathi Equipment and Thinkink Picturez hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Jasch Gauging Techno, Techno Electric, Bharat Rasayan, J Kumar Infra and Jindal Stainless touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
