Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 11 stocks ended in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 466.95 points up at 63384.58 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Scandent Imaging (down 19.44 per cent), SBL Infratech(down 16.53 per cent), SDC Techmedia(down 15.43 per cent), Promax Power(down 14.71 per cent) and Rajeshwari Cans(down 12.04 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 11 stocks ended in the red.


The index closed 137.9 points up at 18826.0.

On the BSE, Scandent Imaging, Sharp Investments, Ishaan Infrastru, Vivanza Biosciences and Kanungo Financiers hit their fresh 52-week lows, while IKIO Lighting Ltd., Ambica Agarbathi, Samrat Forgings, Shree Global and Kalyan Jewellers Ind touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
