Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 118.57 points up at 62547.11 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Edelweiss Financial(down 38.43 per cent), Misquita Engineering(down 15.13 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 11.03 per cent), Nihar Info Glob(down 10.66 per cent) and Humming Bird Educat(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 46.35 points up at 18534.1.
On the BSE, Edelweiss Financial, Wagend Infra, P H Capital, Gorani Ind and Power & Instrument hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Pee Cee Cosma, Hardwyn India, Master Trust, KDDL Ltd and Piccadily Agro touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
