Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks were trading in the green, while 10 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 181.91 points up at 57795.63 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Mirza Intnl(down 86.25 per cent), Bridge Sec(down 14.31 per cent), Bothra Metals(down 13.21 per cent), South Indian Bnk(down 12.70 per cent) and Yogi Infra Proj(down 12.07 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks traded in the green, while 10 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 66.65 points up at 17018.35.

On the BSE, Mirza Intnl, Bothra Metals, Yogi Infra Proj, Command Polymers and Ajcon Global hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Asian Hotels, Gretex Corporate Services Ltd., Atam Valves, Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd. and Sprayking Agro Equip touched their fresh 52-week highs.
