NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 745.48 points up at 59654.83 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Promax Power Ltd.(down 18.28 per cent), Omnipotent Industries Ltd.(down 15.56 per cent), ShriBajrangAlliance(down 10.27 per cent), Nova Pub(down 9.98 per cent) and Tranway Technologies(down 9.95 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 0 stocks traded in the green, while 0 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 222.2 points up at 17544.1.
On the BSE, Pyxis Finvest, Omnipotent Industries Ltd., Sun and Shine, Atlanta Ltd and Jet Infraventure hit their fresh 52-week lows, while ISMT Ltd, Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd., Cigniti Tech, Eyantra Ventures and Soma Textiles touched their fresh 52-week highs.
