Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks were trading in the green, while 21 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 230.28 points up at 60516.32 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Dynamic Cables(down 14.96 per cent), Maris Spinners(down 11.69 per cent), Transwarr Fin(down 10.00 per cent), Vision Cinemas(down 10.00 per cent) and Tricom Fruit(down 9.92 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks traded in the green, while 21 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 83.45 points up at 17804.95.

On the BSE, Maris Spinners, Transwarr Fin(PP), Prakash Woollen & S, ISF Ltd and Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Earthstahl & Alloys Ltd., Quality RO Industries Ltd., Soma Textiles, Atharv Enterpr and Aartech Solonics touched their fresh 52-week highs.
