Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 27 stocks were trading in the green, while 22 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 258.83 points up at 60914.55 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Shree Precoated(down 9.19 per cent), Benara Bearings(down 8.84 per cent), Vaarad Ventures(down 8.56 per cent), Modella Woollen(down 6.82 per cent) and Ascensive Educare Ltd.(down 6.74 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 27 stocks traded in the green, while 22 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 65.45 points up at 18118.75.

On the BSE, Aveer Foods Ltd., Newtime Infrastructure Ltd., Priya Ltd, SVS Ventures Ltd. and Suumaya Corporation Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Bisil Plast, TVS Electronics, JTL Infra, Yash Management and Crane Infrastructure touched their fresh 52-week highs.
