Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks were trading in the green, while 16 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 332.3 points up at 59292.9 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Pecos Hotels & Pubs(down 15.63 per cent), Angel Fibers(down 9.96 per cent), Paos Industries(down 9.25 per cent), Venlon Enterpr(down 8.98 per cent) and MPS Infotecnics (down 7.27 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks traded in the green, while 16 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 99.75 points up at 17586.7.

On the BSE, Mehai Technology, S M Gold, Alok Industries, Unison Metals and KIC Metaliks hit their fresh 52-week lows, while K&R Rail Engineering, Containe Technologies Ltd., Rajeshwari Cans Ltd., Remi Edelstahl and Wonder Fibromats touched their fresh 52-week highs.
