Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 46 stocks were trading in the green, while 4 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 466.35 points up at 53701.12 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Ashoka Metcast(down 13.01 per cent), DRA Consultants(down 12.81 per cent), Starcom Info(down 12.69 per cent), Motor Gen Fin(down 9.98 per cent) and Sintex Plastics Tech(down 9.94 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 46 stocks traded in the green, while 4 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 147.9 points up at 15983.25.

On the BSE, Andhra Cements and Parsvnath Dev. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Silver Touch Tech, Rose Merc. Ltd., ST Corporation, Kush Industries and VCU Data Mgmt touched their fresh 52-week highs.
