Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 306.81 points up at 54559.34 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Unique Organics(down 19.95 per cent), Triveni Enterprises(down 19.95 per cent), Hardcastle Waud(down 14.38 per cent), Kanco Tea(down 12.12 per cent) and Vikram Thermo(down 11.62 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 36 stocks traded in the green, while 14 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 94.8 points up at 16264.95.

On the BSE, Piramal Ent., Muthoot Finance, Future Retail and Vaksons Automobiles hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Lesha Ind, Kohinoor Foods and Zenith Birla touched their fresh 52-week highs.
