Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1222.54 points up at 54014.77 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Pyxis Finvest(down 19.80 per cent), Dr. Lalchandani Labs(down 12.79 per cent), Polychem Ltd(down 9.99 per cent), Omni Axs Software (down 9.76 per cent) and SPS Finquest(down 9.57 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 48 stocks traded in the green, while 1 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 372.6 points up at 16182.0.

On the BSE, Garment Mantra Life, Birla Tyres, BFL Asset Finvest, Novartis India and Supreme Ind. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Welspun Corp, Tamboli Capital, Rose Merc. Ltd., Honda Siel Power and Grauer & Weil touched their fresh 52-week highs.
