Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks were trading in the green, while 13 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 635.99 points up at 58579.64 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Jointeca Edu(down 9.92 per cent), Vamshi Rubber(down 9.84 per cent), Evans Electric(down 8.60 per cent), Martin Burn(down 8.32 per cent) and Optimus Finance (down 7.54 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks traded in the green, while 13 stocks traded in the red.


The Nifty index was trading 165.2 points up at 17490.5.

On the BSE, Evoq Remedies Ltd., Aryavan Enterprise, GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Soni Medicare L and Integra Tele & Soft hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Omega Interactive Technologies Ltd., Atam Valves, Raymond, Sanco Trans and Sunshield Chem touched their fresh 52-week highs.
